INTRO TO YOGA

is a special program designed to ease your way into Yoga, whether as a first timer to Yoga or has been doing yoga but mostly in big classes and want to go back to the fundamentals. Offered weekdays and weekends 4-5 Classes a week. Highly recommended for first few classes with us.

 

ALIGN N' FEEL

Align N' Feel style is more known in yoga as Hatha or Form classes where its emphasis is in sound alignment yet always remind students to observe how each shape is felt in the body. Often characterized as stop-n-go and include holding poses with body preparation by body region, use of props and modification to match optimum for students' body and capacity.  Holding poses to build strength, patience and connection with the body is common. At Gudang Gudang Yoga examples of such classes are Basic Hatha, some of Road-to-Pose classes (at times taught as Vinyasa Flow), some of Yogampang (at final arc of 3-4 weeks as Flow) and Weekdays Intro to Yoga.

 

VINYASA (FLOW)

What refers to a Vinyasa class is a derivative from Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow (which is a more classic, and structured style), which is a breath focus practice taught in a minimum instruction, so it gives a meditative quality and focus. Poses are linked from one to another with a smooth and equal length of inhale and exhale. Vinyasa is more popular, however, it does require direction of good alignment and integrity to avoid injuries due to repetitive misalignment. Example: Its Vinyasa (Fiska), Function Flow (Dini) and Ashtanga Led Kiki, More Vinyasa to be added later on
